Warning, we will be calling the actors by their government names because lets be real we are watching it for them not for the plot at this point.
Olivia Wilde bringing in a tray of martinis at the start of the movie just like she did with the drama… a serve if you will!
I love a movie that starts with us just being casually thrown into what the characters are doing. Most movies that do this aren’t successful with their approach but I feel they did it right here.
Personally, I would stay home if Florence told me to while wearing my shirt as a dress
Her hair looks so good in this movie, its insane. The beauty department, costuming, and production design truly is the moment.

Final Review
There are no words to describe the let down I feel after following this movie from summer 2020 until now - except I will in fact put it into words because I would like to fight with all parties involved, except Florence Pugh, my ride or die.
I think the reason why Florence basically refused to do press for this movie lies with the comments Olivia made and based the start of the press run around, and she did addressed it!

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting to stir controversy around a movie, but when there are so many people closely watching you after your Directorial Debut - you’d think you would choose your words wisely.
Since summer 2020, Don’t Worry Darling HAS been presented as a thriller
Now what I think we all expected to be delivered was a feminist portrayal on a dystopian level. What we received however, was very much catered to the male gaze. Yes, Florence delivered a powerful performance but the whole time she was fighting off imprisonment - I wouldn’t have such a big bone to pick with this if the ending gave way to showing her fighting back after she saved herself.

They literally say they will find her and kill her now that she is offline - how are we supposed to believe she will survive if she has been drugged and trapped for god knows how long!!!
While I believe they did their job and created a tantalizing movie, us real ones who have been here from the very beginning are left wanting more.
Side note -
I just feel that there was so much cut as seen by Kiki Layne’s instagram. Like there has to be more to this movie than what was in the final cut because I cant wrap my head around this.
If you feel you are a part of the select group that know our Miss Flo deserved more than that ending I recommend you watch these films to cleanse the palate.
