Summer is all year in Miami, so I'll be sharing what I've been listening to so far
I saw @hellotefi, the internet’s big sister tweet this and was like…. I’m on the way.
All I try to do is make time.
Make time to be with the ones I love.
Make time to cook something yummy.
Make time to watch 7 seasons of a show in one week.
Maybe not read, LOL, but does twitter count? It’s literature babe!
This is what I’ve been listening to in 2022 in chronological order.
January
I consider myself to be a playlist connoisseur.

February
Growing up my dad would play a cassette tape on road trips, we drove all through Florida listening to the first 18 songs on this playlist.
The rest of the songs are pieces that have been played in my parents house over the years - its the first 26 years in my life in digital format.
March
I wasn’t the biggest fan of Rosalia’s debut album - I’m not super big on ballads.
But for this album she brought the heat.
We love a good reference.

If you didn’t watch Hulu's - The Dropout you’re missing out and won’t understand why this song has it’s own specific radio on this list.

If you’re familiar with the Bad Bunny Controversy this week —
this man is a menace.
He did in fact put crack in every single song of this 23 track album.

When Phoenix releases their new album THEN you will realize.
At the end of June I started going to spinning with a friend and when this song plays at the start of class the serotonin is flowing, the water is cold, we’re riding fast, the music is bumping, this is what my doctor talks about when exercise gives you endorphins or whatever.
July
Interpol is my favorite band -
all the other indie/alternative bands are cute.
Interpol is Gorgeous.
What I love about Interpol is that, lyrically, it is gibberish.
I love Paul Banks and I love when he speaks in tongues, I never want him to make any sense.
It took me a minute to get into it but after a couple of listens and starting the album on Gran Hotel, it made sense to me.
Lately I feel like their albums are like long songs -
I ALWAYS listen from start to finish.
They never miss.

Lets go through the Track List
I’M THAT GIRL + COZY read as one song
ALIEN SUPERSTAR is the first track that, while seamless with the album, stands out due to its rhythm. Certified Bop.
CUFF IT it’s giving late 90’s early 2000’s rom-com.
Bey said lets get in the room with some producers and bring BACK the rom com.
ENERGY made for a strut on the treadmill baby!!!
But also the drama of the credits on this song is sad, give people their due - tragic.
BREAK MY SOUL if you skip break my soul lose my number, sorry not sorry
CHURCH GIRL at first listen I thought this was going to be a classic Bey ballad, the second song that breaks from the seamlessness of the album, and was gonna speed through it but once the beat dropped….. herstory was MADE. I appreciate this being after Break My Soul - its a reset and a stand alone moment in the album.
PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA + VIRGO’S GROVE are my favorite vocals, the runs are impeccable
Plus they FEEL like happiness and summer, my fav things

HEATED i dont understand 90% of this song, and yet, *chefs kisssss*
THIQUE + ALL IN YOUR MIND yoncé on the trackkkk, if I don’t do these song at a spinning class or at a work out within the next week idk how I will live with myself?!?!?!?
AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM I hope Tom Cruise listens to this on the set of his next movie to help him run really fast
PURE/HONEY I know Ryan Murphy wishes this came out in the 70’s so he could have put it in Pose
